View Full Version : What's your favourite gadget?
Today we bought a laminator, and we've spent the best part of the afternoon laminating everything in sight! I now have three ace funky new bookmarks which are drawings my son has done which we've laminated. So, this got me to thinking, in a world chock full of gadgets, what would you say is your favourite?
Mine is the laminator today, for obvious reasons.
What's yours? The weirder the better!

My favorite gadget would have to be my iTrip because it means I never have to listen to the radio again! :thumbs_up

You realise that this identifies you clearly as a female. Only women name inanimate objects. I've now largely given up this practice, but when I was younger and an archer I named my bow Angus. I miss Angus, he was my friend.

Is that a calculator? When I was in school I had an HP progammable/graphing. I called it "big Momma" I loved her. It died a few years ago.
RIP Big Momma.
Now I would have to say my favorite is my Iriver Clix.

I have a rusty old burdizzo that I've never used; but it may see action soon if a certain someone doesn't get his act together soon.
(I'll bet you had to Google that one)

 That is THE coolest name...FOR ANYTHING! Voltaire! <3 <3 I name inanimate objects once in a while...not too much anymore, though.
And then there is the all powerfull swiss army knife
Oh! I totally forgot about swiss army knives! Mine's just the simple one. I kinda want one that does EVERYTHING. You know, the ones with the lazer pointer to annoy people with? And then the ones with little pens...those ones are so cool.
But I still like my calculator watch the best. :D

That's not true. Men name their cars all the time.

Seriously?!!!! I've never met a man that has either 1) named his car and/or 2) admitted to naming his car? Unless, I suppose, it was to impress a girl......

what about boats? boats are lovingly named by their men. 'mistress of the sea' 'seatirement' "Over The Hill" "In Debt for Her" I admit to naming my own boat though..."speakeasy"
as for favorite gadget, it must be the dvr function on my dish network.

Yes, often we do.
That's because we hate the idea that 98% or our thinking would be done by someone who's name we don't even know.

I would have to say my in-line tuner for my guitar. It's nice to be in tune.
