Images of a death grip go through the mind, when they literally must pry the fingers loose in an effort to see if there is some evidence hidden in that hand (I write mysteries and must do research on forensics, don't take me as weird.) come to mind. Vivid imagery indeed!

Saute them in a little very light, extra-virgin olive oil.... with a few slivers of garlic. Great with parsnips.
