Happy Birthday tomorrow! Here is a little present for ya.
Young Mother Hubbard went to her cupboard,
To fetch her dear friends a poem,
But when she got there
She had quite a scare
Cause everyone jumped out and said,
SURPRISE!!
Okay all you poets who didn't know its...howzabout a little something for the birthday girl. :D

The spokes make whirring sounds
as they move through the air,
on film they reverse themselves
when time overtakes them —
we used to marvel at such things.
But the Hub is steady, supportive
and makes her own rhythmic sounds
that define the wheel itself.
Happy Birthday Motherhubbard!!!

For Tonya
The Young Mother Hubbard, keeps things neat in her cupboards,
Even in that large farmhouse in a life reinvented—
She won’t stand for a mess aboard, throw the junk overboard—
Live a clean, simple life just like God intended.
She’s made time for new friends like me, big-hearted woman, she
Gives away more of herself than she ever keeps.
Keeping up with her kiddies, writing beautiful poetry,
Heaven knows how the dear lady manages to get any sleep!
I am sure that her hubby knows, the type of a gem he has—(she glows!)
Thank you, much, sir, for sharing her with us!
I’ll bet she’s handy with a hoe, out there among the cornrows,
And could cook and serve up almost any type of dish!
Now, do not take this poem as flattery at all, my dear.
I mean every word. Happy Birthday for many more years!

Shoot! That "Happy Labour Day" post gave me a bit of a scare. I thought it referred to you being about to pop another one!
And I've beaten to my intention to wish you a happy birthday tomorrow. Isn't it amazing how many people care deeply for you?

Actually, now that I think about it, we should be sending wishes to poor Granny for all the work she did! ;) :D

amen! 35 years of work!
Listen Kid, if you don't start lying about your age, we'll be the same age before too much longer.
Who would have thought that that little bitty baby would grow up to be you?
The quiet introverted teen would decide to have so much to say?
Or that the dancing city girl, who worried about the worms and releasing ticks back into the wild would grow up to be a farm girl?
You sure you don't want a piglet for your birthday?
Edna would be pretty darn proud of ya!

first of all, I have too many kids to lie about my age. I don't have a place for a pig and no money to set something up. I’ll get Marc to work on a pig pen for cheap. Next year maybe. It needs to be near that other pond. Piglets grow up and I don't want a hog near the kids.
Edna was proud already!

Marc would have the pig pen up by tomorrow if you told him you wanted it and you know it. And you wouldn't have a hog near the kids, you'd have a ham and bacon!!

Here's a thought: Let's have a competition to see who loves MotherHubbard best (Granny5 not permitted)!
Me, I love her more than I do chocolate mocha cheesecake!

Thank you all so much for the happy birthday wishes. My sister and my friend came over for cake and I got to show them all of these messages and they couldn’t believe how kind you guys are. :D My friend said that it made her day too. I let all the batter slide to the back of the cake pan when I put it in the oven so my cake turned out something like two millimeters thick on one end and five inches high on the other. It didn’t taste any better than it looked so we all wanted that delicious desert that dramasnot had posted!
