The Tiger
The Tiger is hungry
He is hungry, and he will hunt
He will slaughter the lamb
Will you blame him?
How can you blame him?
He does but as he must
He bears no ill will toward the lamb
Nor does he have malice in his heart as he tears its throat
While he stalks the lamb, he conjures no cruel methods
As he devours the lamb, he feels no joy other than the satisfaction of appetite
So as you see, you cannot blame the Tiger
For we all must do as we must,
Right?
Wolves
The Lakota say that inside every man
There lie two wolves
One that feeds on hate, fear, and rage
The other on love, joy, and peace
Natural enemies
That fight for dominance
Over your very soul
The Lakota are wise
And say
The one that prevails
Is the one you feed the most
I am no shaman or philosopher
Nor am I wise
But I believe
That in the end
The one who will win
Is the one who is hungriest
The Tiger is hungry
He is hungry, and he will hunt
He will slaughter the lamb
Will you blame him?
How can you blame him?
He does but as he must
He bears no ill will toward the lamb
Nor does he have malice in his heart as he tears its throat
While he stalks the lamb, he conjures no cruel methods
As he devours the lamb, he feels no joy other than the satisfaction of appetite
So as you see, you cannot blame the Tiger
