Here's how this works: Each contributor will write a poem based on a one-word title selected by the person above. Your poem can be any length, any style, any format. At the end of your post, select one word from your poem that must be used as the title/theme of the next poet in line. Because of the one word extracted as we go, each poem will be more or less loosely connected in theme to the one above and the one below. Get it? ;)

I'll start us off.....using the title "Poem" and the last stanza of my contribution to PrinceMyshkin's "A Poem Is..." thread.

-----

A poem is like waves on a sandy beach....
interconnected words that swirl and twirl,
rise and fall with the seasons of the moon,
and collect in shallow depressions of the soul.

-----

NEXT TITLE: "Seasons"

Have you by any chance seen the thread...."And the word is"? Similar, but different. We would love for you to be a part of it.

No problema. No need to apologize. I'm not sure jon1 wants to participate so why don't we go right to your choice of seasons? Or, we can do both. It makes no difference to me. We all seem to be pretty full of it..hahaha..poems.

Thanks, Ampoule. "Seasons" it is, but let's do it at the other thread, and call this one an unnecessary duplicate.
