My little brother (aged 9) wrote this, and he asked me to post it for your opinions. Thanks for taking your time...

SUMMER

The bees are humming
The hummingbirds are summing

The sun is shining
The sight is blinding

The weather is warm
Butterflies are born

The sun is baking
The flowers are waking

The birds are singing
The fish are swimming

The winter is over
I find a four-leaf clover

Flowers have sprung
Summers begun.

I loved this and it filled up all my senses. Your brother is a wonderful writer for one so young.

Here is a little something for you and your brother :

"Happiness is a butterfly, which,
when pursued, is always just beyond grasp,
but which, if you sit down quietly
may alight upon you"

Thankyou Suetang. (on behalf of my brother that is) Yes, i was rather amased when he showed it to me, i thought it was something he had found somewhere. i was especially fond of the last phrase; Flowers have sprung, Summers begun. Really recognised a feeling of Joy there. Thanks for the little piece of poetry, did you write it?

This poem captures the joy that a boy feels for the summer vacation, perfectly. I know I remember when I felt like that. Your brother has raw talent.
