May Twenty-Fourth, Two Thousand Two

Once there was a message,
I opened it with care,
But when it came upon the screen,
There was nothing there.
I smiled and giggled to myself,
That crazy Papa Bear,
He forgot to type his words,
There was nothing there!
Quickly I replied to him,
"There was nothing there."
As I hit send, my blood ran cold,
There was nothing.....there.
Cause long ago a message
Was more that I could bear,
"I did not fall in love with you,
There was nothing there."
That's because I horde it all,
It really seems unfair,
Since everything is here,
There's probably nothing there.
