You Know What You Know

(I hope!) a moment of misgiving
but then you would quickly think
or say: There are so many
false gods. But I alone
know the One True God
--which is to say, I am Him!

I too must say I particularly enjoyed the "I hope!" insertion. A very nice sentiment expressed in your casual nonchalance makes the poem very accessible, which in a poem about personal godliness (or Godliness, whichever) is quite apt and fitting. I like your style, so many poets, including myself, try too hard for stunning imagery and sleek-footed cadences that these are very refreshing. Kudos to you for the many you've allowed us to read (the many I failed to comment on)!
