Faerie Tales

Hullo, I'm by chapter 6 of my book already! Yesterday I began doing some research about Faerie and it says that they're sighted about the world. So I thought, well there are litnetters all around the world, maybe they know!

So: Tell me a faerie tale!

It can be anything, from Grandmother's tales to something you read. I need to gather more info as I reedit that accursed book.

Anything interesting, I love the sidhe (So much I made my character Ryusuke a half sidhe :blush:)

My name is the name of the princess of the land of youth in Irish mythology. Niamh N'og came from Tir na nog and wooed the son of legendary giant Fionn MaCool. She took Oisin to Tir Na N'Og, where he lived happily for hundreds of years. After awhile he yearned to see his home again and she let him return, but only on the condition that he remained on the horse. when he arrived in Eireann, he came across two men struggling to lift a boulder. Oisin, remembering his promise, but also remembering his days as a member of the Fianna, bent from his horse to help them. throught the strain caused by this the straps from the saddle snapped and Oisin fell to the ground, where he withered and turned to dust.

P.S. Just a suggestion. Read the Bitterbynde Saga by Cecilia Dart Thornton. The trilogy if full of faerie myths and all types of faerie (good and bad)
