ONE PAIR OF EYES
A flash on the screen
I know you are there
If you knew I was watching
How much would you care?
For so many years
I’ve played such a game
Of dreaming and hoping
You’d soon know my name
That day now has come
And twice we have met
My dream now reality
Well, maybe not yet
Your name now aglow
Still so foreign to me
I hope no one is looking
For what would they see?
A middle aged school girl
Still pining away
Still holding onto
Of what, I can’t say
But that doesn’t stop me
I still tell myself lies
And I continue to watch you
This one pair of eyes…..
