I love Austen~

I thought D.H. Lawrence had a lot of talent, but he didn't thoroughly depress me as well as his more notable contemporaries.

I'd say Goethe is the best writer in history, or at least in Europe; comparing him to the east is apples and oranges. He'd at least be top three no matter what, he was godlike.
