Rubber floaters everywhere
Cartwheels on the sand
Half-naked figures, young and old.

Binoculars capturing close up view of distant motion
Children huddled together
Splashing, shouting, swimming.

Kling!KLing!Kling so the bell goes
Inviting watery mouths
To savor home-made ice cream.

Bottles and bottles of malt and ale
Under the hot sun
One child looks very pale
Everywhere else you hear the sound of excitement and fun.

An infant taking a nap
Secured and contented on his mother's lap.
Aroma of barbequed pork and grilled fish.
To taste it
Oh how I wish.

Sun caps, sun glasses
Beach towels, small ang large
People Keep coming
They alll seem to barge.

From a distance
A white boat docks
Near a pile of rocks.

In a corner
An old woman
All by herself
Awed at the sight before her.

Green seaweeds
A young boy wearing it as a wig
Was it to protect his head from the heat?
Or was he simply playing a trick?

Amidst the run-down shacks
A throng of artists gather to plan
future exhibits and subjects to paint.

A wooden board
This boy is holding
Wishing it was a real surf board.

Seagulls or flying sword fish?
Hovering close by.
One afternoon at the beach
was indeed worth writing.

Are you Leopold Bloom?

And if so, what are you doing behind that rock?

Thanks for reading my poem. I enjoy writing what I see around me. I like observing things around me, it completes my day.
