Everything has a history of its own including faith. Man' faith primeordially speaking, was rooted in the fear of the unkown, the mystery of the universe.

Man has been capcitated to think and the rest of animals or any other than man wonder at the creation of the universe is a matter yet to be discovered.

The root of faith is fear but man's quest of truth, the truth of his existtance on this planet is seconded by it.

Many faith holders pray for fear of the torments and tortures they may have to undergo in hell upon death. Man prays for he he has sinned and he wants to be clean of his sins.

Man prays for he wants to be a millioniare. In Hinduism the Goddess of prosperity or miney is Laxmi. Business commjunities worship her more than others.

When we hold fiath we do it out of a desire of fulfiling a particular motive.

In the world of religions Sufis and Zens seem to rise a little higher and they renounce worldly gains and pine for spiritual gains.

Faith is the origin of God. Primitively rainfalls, tempests, mountains were likened to God or his images. They were idlozed.
But now God is a bit refined thing and we have fabrcated God differently.

Now we have complicated the meaning of God.
