I always put off taking the propane BBQ tank to the gas station because it's so stupid, then I run out of fire in the middle of cooking.:flare: I cooked this way for decades and then last year I hooked my BBQ to the house natural gas and now I laugh at the people at the gas stations with thier dumb little tanks.

Oh good topic.

I hate charging my cell phone.

I hate cleaning the microwave out.

I hate folding clothes. I don't mind putting the clothes in the washer or dryer but I hate folding them and putting them away. But I hate dealing with a basket full of wrinkled clothes also, so I do what I must.

I hate cleaning the stove top (don't have one of those flat tops but I would just love to have one)

I hate dealing with the accumulation of junk mail and bills and credit card solicitaitons. I feel as though I must shred those and I tend to save up a bunch papers that need to be shredded for a long time and it's just bad.

Mopping the floor. It is a never ending task with two kids and two dogs so I've learned to hate it. In the winter we get tons of rain, so there is always mud in my house. This meant that I am vaccuming the carpet once or twice a day and then I still had to mop once a day or so.

Good point Shalot. I forgot how much I hate folding laundry. I'm bad about letting it sit for day just because I'm not in the mood to get everything folded and put away in the proper place.

That’s true, but sometimes I just let that go. They play outside in the summer until it's too dark to see anymore then they track in everything. I sweep after every meal and when they go to bed, but I can't always bring myself to mop knowing that there will just be syrup or egg in the floor before anyone has a chance to see that I did. I mostly just spot clean the kitchen, and I only sweep the rest just before my husband comes home.

I used to be like that but now the thought of running out of gas comes to my mind so I just kind of go fill it up now and I don't think about how much it cuts into my routine. I don't even get very upset as the gas prices go up and up and up (and I probably should). I really don't want to run out of gas though so I just pay and keep trucking.

Tidying up my study. During the school year I mostly pile papers and even books on top of each other. So I have to use part of my summer holidays to file everything and to decide what to throw away and what to keep. (Throwing things away is hard to do, especially books! Of course I don't throw away literature, just old textbooks I haven't looked at for years. But it's hard, anyway.)

Every summer I promise myself I will put things where they belong right away, but I never make it.

My fear of fears in my cat-sitting days, I sympathize.

This guy that used to live across the street from me had 3 cats and two little dogs in a very small house and I don't think he or his wife EVER cleaned the cat box. Once I went into thier house to help move something and I just couldn't believe the smell. Cat and dog urine, poop from the cat box that was actually in the garage but it didn't seem to matter. It seemed that the whole place was melting from all the toxic fumes. Luckilly they never had kids.

The trick to cat litter is just to do it everyday before it has a chance to get rank --- in fact, a little cleaning every day keeps everything in order. If you let things pile up, you're just asking for trouble. Then again, cleaning becomes this neverending task and that's no way to live. Then again, quality of life diminishes if you have no dishes because they're all dirty and you have to dry off with a wash cloth because you're too lazy to wash the towels and if you wait a month to change the sheets they get grimy and if you don't clean the floor, little clingons stick to your feet when you walk across it.
