Anyone know of a site that contains essays/analysis of literature? I know I used some search engines like JSTOR in college but I no longer have an account with that.

www.bibliomania.com looks like it may have some of what you mind need.

You do have to register though (don't know if that's a big deal) and I think it's free

You mean some study notes?

You could try SparkNotes (http://www.sparknotes.com) or Grade Saver (http://www.gradesaver.com).

These are the sites which I use, though don't expect too much.

Study notes, maybe. I am aware of sparknotes. My desire for such a site became more immediate as I began reading Gravity's Rainbow...I think some more insight on the work would be interesting. Sparknotes could likely offer some good summaries on the sections, but they do not have the book listed (too much work, maybe?) And I'm not saying I want the whole thing explained to me, but I guess what I'm thinking of are some scholarly articles written about literature, analyzing context, themes, etc.

To give you an idea of what I am talking about, here is a film site which features many essays on the great films and filmmakers: http://www.sensesofcinema.com/

Sparknotes.com is a great site for analysis of a vast number of literature titles. I use it the most out of any site of that type.
