Treading water

I've been Treading water for so long
My legs are getting numb
My arms are tired
I don't think I can hold myself afloat no more
Why won't someone throw me a rope?
Pull me out,
Hand me a towel,
Tell me its going to be ok?
I'm cold,
Scared,
Lonely,
Need to get back to land
Back to the sun,
The warmth,
The comfort,
The support

If only I could swim like the others
Why can't I swim like the others?
