I saw something ironic yesterday and I told my husband but he didn’t get it. I wonder if any of you will agree

I was behind a car with two bumper stickers. The first one I noticed was on the left bumper and it said Safety: A Dow Family Tradition. Then the second one was on the right and it said At Least I Can Still Smoke In My Car. I just had to laugh about that.

Is it just me, or is that funny?

As a smoker trying to quit: the irony of the stickers is clear. Another bumber sticker I noticed read..."Dyslexics of the world- untie" quasimodo1

Good luck. I quit four times, with each pregnancy. I can't start again because I won't be getting pregnant again and I don't think anything else could make me quit. I hate smoking and everything about it, but I still want one.

Yea, that's IRONIC!!! The whole thing is!! The word "saftey" and "Dow" should never be in the same paragraph let alone its description. The other one is pretty obvious.

yes, the saftey and Dow together was funny. then when I saw the smoking one it just added to it. if the dow one had been alone it wouldn't have been as funny or if the smoking one had been along with say a drinking or nra or something it would not have been as funny.

when I told my husband, and he didn't see anything funny I thought some people here would, and you did come to mind.

"At least I can still smoke in my car"...awwww, that is so terribly sad. Poor smokers. :(

Sorry, I know that is mean, but I am really tired of coughing and wheezing all the time from breathing in second hand smoke. Sadly for me I live with a smoker and it is becoming a huge bone of contention.

Oh yes, the irony part. I wonder why someone would have a Dow chemicals bumper sticker on their car anyway? Seems odd, maybe they work for Dow...and they smoke. Doesn't sound like a way to live to healthy 120 to me.

heh...why would they need to smoke, when they could just breath deeply at work? :D

Alright, maybe I'm a little laggy in the brain today, but what's Dow? ^^;;;; Ahaha... it's sounding like a company. *runs and hides*

Even from New Zealand I get that one!

We seem to have a tradition in this country that if your vehicle is a filthy piece of junk which spews black, oily smoke as it grunts along, the perfect accompaniment is a Greenpeace sticker. I always enjoy that [frequent] sight.

Couple more:

People with "baby on board" stickers driving on a space-saver tyre on the motorway [freeway].

People with "keep your distance" stickers tailgating.

I see both far too frequently to find these idiots amusing, unfortunately. No less ironic.
