Manufactured Beauty
Perfection cloned
Off the production line
Lacking originality and personality
If you’re not a perfect shape you get tossed out
Only the best will do for this callous world
But not for I, gimme the rejects any day
For they are different and special
Unlike the clones
I don’t like the clones

*claps* good, I need to hear something like this from time to time and remind me how good it can feel not to be a clone. (i'm dangerously often wishing i was like them, so things would be easier...)

I applaud you for this very real piece of writing. Far too many people today are totally obsessed with their appearance etc. As far as I'm concerned, if people aren't willing to accept you as you are then then aren't worth bothering about. I hope more people get to read your words of truth.

Take care.........Sue

you don't like cookie cutter/paper doll girls? ;)
good for you!
reminds me of an interview once on public radio - some women in connecticut said with pride "we Are stepford wives." arghhhhh. (i only joke about that particular fantasy.)
if we were all supposed to be the same we'd be amoebas.

great, there is nothing I dislike more than people who are like we are 'supossed to be' . but I do wish in my darkest hours that I could be like them.

Sometimes it's frustrating to be treated differently, or just to be aware that you're different. But personally, I can't imagine what else I would be like. To me, most people are either interesting or they're bland, and it comes from inside them and manifests itself on their outside. Maybe that's a shallow way to think. But even if I dressed in pastels and khakis or god knows what every day, I don't think I could pass for a member of the crowd, "one of them," whatever that is exactly. Most of what's different about me is just my personality, which I think is the same for most people.

I guess I'm just lucky there are people who don't like clones. :)
