I have always found this variant of "Flash Fiction" to be very interesting and an outstanding method of inspiration. By compressing a story into 55 words, an author develops a desire to expand the tale in a longer prose.

If you are currently suffering from a bad case of bloccus writeus, try to write a story in exactly 55 words--inspiration will strike swiftly.
