A Random Thought!

Have you ever had that feeling, while you're browsing the forum, that you know VERY little?! lol
This happens to me A LOT!! Sometimes, when I read and see how people talk about certain topics, criticise certain novels/plays or any literary work, it seems to me like all what I know, which isn't much, is actually..NOTHING!
It makes me frustrated sometimes, to be frank, but most of the times it makes me amazed and fascinated. It's really enjoyable to sometimes just sit back, play some music, and just read what you guys write on this forum...try to do it sometimes, you'll know what I mean...lol
Anyways, this was just a random thought, I get a lot of these usually when I'm studying for my exams, and it's after midnight..:lol:
And I really would like to know if I'm the only one who feels this way sometimes...cuz even though I know I'm only 19 and have so much more to learn...it just seems like I have WAY too much to learn..ya know! lol

I hear ya! I'm younger than you are (and probably most of the people on the boards), and I thought I was pretty well read. Pfft! Yeah, right! I've definitely been humbled, but I still like to read what the more intelligent people have to say. I feel like I'm broadening my horizons.

An intelligent person always knows that there is more to learn....no matter how much we know, we can always improve. It is always fun to me to read other's posts, and especially those about subjects I am not familiar with.

I enjoy reading posts about subjects I don't know much about. The forum has helped me learn alot.

oh yeah! Thanks to the people here I know about contemporary classics. I even read 1984 because of all the comments about it on this place!

Well, I'm 21 and when I'm browsing this forum I really feel like a total newbie, especially when it comes to literature. But It is really nice to just read what other people have to say a bout certain topics/books/problems. And you can definately learn something around here :)

I agree with Kathy. The beautiful thing about LitNet it that there is such a diverse community of intellectuals here, so I am always learning when I'm on.
