Hi, I know that H.G. Wells wrote "The Invisible Man" but, I remember back in high school I read a novel also called "The Invisible Man" (or similar) written by Jules Verne (I am almost positive it was Jules Verne). I have not been able to find that book again. Is anybody aware of this novel? One thing I remember about it is, the plot took place in Budapest, Hungary.

Hi and welcome.
I can't say that I have heard of the novel you are referring to. However, this site may be of use as it is considered to be an exhaustive bibliography of Verne's work. Additionally, Verne's son Michel finished some manuscripts of his father's and published them posthumously, so maybe this "Invisible Man" was one of those.

I was curious, so I searched the list of M. Verne's works and there isn't anything like The Invisible Man included.

Well, I did say "maybe" it was a work of M. Verne. I skimmed through the list earlier and didn't find anything either, but it was a quick skim, not a deep search. I wonder if the book is simply titled something else, or maybe doesn't have anything to do with Verne.
578323, you do state not being quite sure about either the title or the author. Do you have any other information about the book? (sometimes I like being a sleuth....;) )

I could only say that you are either searching for something extremely rare, that happens, or, you have gotten something wrong.
This is really weird:

It says H. G. Wells on the actual book but the seller seems to say Jules Verne

Thank you
I realize this may be years too late, but I believe the book you are looking for is ‘The Secret of Wilhelm Storitz’ by Jules Verne.

As I remember, Wilhelm Storitz discovers how to become invisible and visible at will, but at the end loses the means of becoming visible again.
I enjoyed this book.
Yes that’s the book I'm talking about. I found it to be darker than his usual work and thoroughly enjoyed reading it especially since I hadn't read H. G. Wells’ invisible man at the time.
