I am an unpublished writer. I am searching for the origin of a quote that my father often reminded me when I was growing up. It is a quote with the lines, "when you lose your wealth, you lose nothing, when you lose your health, you lose something, but when you lose your character, you lose everything." Or, something to this effect. Can anyone help me find the origin or author of these lines? Thanks. Miriam Day

I haven't heard this one before. Maybe it was his own?

“If you lose your wealth, you have lost nothing,
If you lose your health, you have lost something,
But if you lose your character, you have lost everything.” - Woodrow Wilson

"There's a saying that if you lose your wealth you've lost nothing; if you lose your health, you've lost something; and if you lose your peace of mind, you've lost everything."

So how do we know "the real" origin of the saying?

One created a variation of the original.

The question is: is it likely that Woodrow Wilson would be influenced by yoga, or that a yoga advertiser would use it to give a sense of familiarity, which is an advertisment tool?
