Tuning up the strings on my old mandolin,
When I heard about this Greek beauty called “Manolia”.
So I sat right down and struck a chord and began,
To write a special sonnet for her and for all of ya!
I understand this is a glorious happy birthday,
My daughter, my Niece, (she adopted me), and now Manolia,
All seem to have been born on this day of day!
How about that! There is a heavy coincidence for a-ya!
Three flowers blooming on the first of June,
The Maker must have been busy in the garden don’t you think?
Manolia, my Summer Dawn, and My Flower bloomed—
Three good reasons for me to celebrate.
