hi all this is my first post go easy :P
i have a comparative essay due in some time for english and it has a large weighting something like 40% so comparing the write texts is essential.
well my first text ive chosen is A Clockwork Orange and ill definelty be using that, to compare it was thinking id use the film Collatarel by Michael Mann it was released only a few years ago
I was planning to compare such themes as morality of main character like Alex and Vincent
How governments deal with people who dont fit the social mould
The meaning of being good
Comparing Alex to Vincent before the Ludovico treatment and then to Max after the ludovico treatment
The use of music; beethoven and jazz music
then theres cinemtaic devices, settings, symbols and the rest of the juicy stuff that fills up english essays
well basically i was wondering if i could get some opinions on the comparative because its hardly a contemporary comparative and i am apprahensive about using a hollywood blockbuster. Also if anyone has anything that they think i could add in the way of themes or any narrative structure thatd be great thanks
