does anyone know the title of any biographies for orwell? It would make my research for a project go much faster. I'm required for it to be in a book though (the school standards make no sense to me since everything can be found online these days). Thank you in advance

I found this one (http://books.google.co.nz/books?id=tDkzAAAAMAAJ&dq=george+orwell+biography+book&ots=3I6fKi0MLW&sig=wPEVnfnxmV7NhI789J4CcBmSWzw&prev=http://www.google.co.nz/search%3Fhl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26q%3Dgeorge%2Borwel l%2Bbiography%2Bbook%26meta%3D&sa=X&oi=print&ct=result&cd=1&q=george+orwell+biography+book&pgis=1)excellent.

Being relatively recent, it should be in most libraries.

Another book worth looking at as a supplement to a full-scale Orwell biography is Why Orwell Matters by Christopher Hitchens. It's also fairly recent and should be easy to find.
