Ok, I FIRST POSTED THIS THREAD IN THE WRONG SECTION BUT ANYWAY: I have a bit of a music obbsession . Really, you'll never see me without my ipod. I want to listen to something new, so why don't you tell me which are your top 5 favorite songs. You'll know you did it for a worthy cause. (Youtube links are encouraged!)

My top five are

1. Lips like Morphine by Kill Hannah.

Naming 5 favourite songs is incredibly difficult. These are the current 5 and by the time the morning comes none of them may be in it.

1) I Wanna Be Sedated (http://youtube.com/watch?v=X_f2DvyzQm4) ~ The Ramones

2) No Night Out in the Jail ~ Nick Cave & the Badseeds

3) No Gods and Precious Few Heroes ~ Dick Gaughan lyrics (http://www.dickgaughan.co.uk/songs/texts/nogods.html)

4) Scared (http://youtube.com/watch?v=2gO-OYUKzG4&mode=related&search=) ~ The Tragically Hip

5) I Wont Get Grazed ~ Ocean Colour Scene lyrics (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/o/ocean+colour+scene/i+wont+get+grazed_20102545.html)

I just drove 9 hours so I've renewed my interest in some old favorite:

Great Filling Station Hold Up - Jimmy Buffett
Blitzkreig Bop - Covered by Rob Zombie
Ain't to Proud to Beg - The Temptations
When did things go so wrong - The Smithereens
Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder

(I've been singing "My Perogative" for 2 days now but that can't be a top 5)

Tough choice. I'll just name a few that have passed the test of time (since i listen to some of them for more than 10 years almost daily).

1. The Gathering - "Rollercoaster"
2. Paradise Lost - "Forever Failure"
3. Moonspell - "Abysmo"
4. Savatage - "When the crowds are gone"
5. Blood Divine - "Aureole"

It really depends on which personality you're asking. Each one of mine has its own favorite style and accompanying songs.
I'll take an inventory from each and see if we can't arrive at a consensus.
(Years later after much group fighting...)

1. "Love you to Death" - Type O Negative
2. "One Step Closer" - Linkin Park/Humble Brothers Remix
3. "Sex Type Thing" - Stone Temple Pilots
4 "Romeos" - Alphaville
5. "Involver" - DJ Sasha
6. "Head Like a Hole" - Nine Inch Nails
7. "Rollin" Big & Rich

A consensus of 5 could not be reached.
