In my dreams i see your face,
My tears will quietly run.
Why did you have to go away?
Your life had just begun.

Your silent cry is haunting,
Each memory is the same.
This picture painted in my mind,
Just causes grief and pain.

But i think of all the times,
You were standing there with me.
You deserve a place, free of pain,
It's where you're meant to be.

Now heaven's gained an angel,
And my heart is filled with love.
With me down here on God's green earth,
And you far up above.

There doesn't go a minute,
I don't miss that smiling face.
A painted celestial picture,
My angel up in space.

Your words were written with such raw and real emotion and they were so heartfelt. I could relate to your words from some of my own experiences and I can only hope that your writing brings you some comfort as I know it does for me. I'll look forward to reading more of your words.

Take care.........Sue

Loss of someone dear is indescribable....and writing brings small comfort. You've done a good job with putting your grief to words, and time will slowly make the raw spots less painful.

Rocksea, your poem is beautiful -- just like your friend. :) It's so sad that so many people have a story like this; for years I've had a friend who I fear losing every day. But I think it also makes us remember how precious all our loved ones are, and the sad times we've had allow us to appreciate the good ones even more as they are happening.

Your poem touched my pain. I'm crying.
That moment when you see that the one who you loved by years is lying without any signs of life and didn't respond yor crying, you just want to stop exist. Stop to live! But not to feel all that pain ...........
You're lucky.........You can give your pain in words....

Thankyou for your replies to my poem. This poem is very dear to me because the pain behind it is universal, everyone loses people that they love and this poem is something that people can relate to. At 17 i have been very fortunate to have not experienced that many feelings of loss, and i hope that this poem has touched you as much as it did me when i wrote it! Thankyou again.
