Hello all this is my first thread I'm starting. It's just one of those games that I've been seeing all over the forum. List your favorite author and your favorite book by him/her...(try to only list one author/book) I'll start..
* Aldous Huxley ~ Brave New World
:thumbs_up
I haven't been here long come to think of it, but welcome.
Favorite... ****. I have a love-hate relationship with everything, but the first book that made writing matter to me was Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer, so maybe that's a favorite.
My favorite of the ones I've read recently is Kurt Vonnegut's Timequake, which is timeless because I could read it once a month and still chuckle aloud. Vonnegut is probably hagning around Xanadu, the writer's retreat after the world caught up with itself, right now.

Angels & Demons~ Dan Brown
I haven't read it. I had my fill with Dan Brown after I read The Da Vinci Code, but I read the prologue and thought the subject matter was interesting.

Yes he did. And it didn't do the book any good. Worst ending to a thriller I ever read. :flare:
Favourite German book/author: Buddenbrooks by Thomas Mann
Favourite English (language!) author: Can't quite make up my mind. Salinger, Orwell, Huxley ...
