I've just discovered this forum, and look forward to joining in the discussions.
I'm a 55-years-old British man with a B.A.(Hons) in Literature from the Open University, and work for Royal Mail (until I win the Lottery jackpot, anyway). I write poetry, and have had some modest publishing success in various small press mags and anthologies. I started writing a novel a year or so ago, but five chapters in my computer crashed and I lost the lot. Moral: save your stuff to a floppy or print it out as well as saving it to the hard disc! I may start again one day.
Favourite novelists: Orwell, Scott, Gaskell, the Brontes, Doyle.
Favourite poets: Shakespeare, Keats, Milton, Hopkins, Owen, Clemo.
