PLEASE NOTICE: This is a translation because the original is in portuguese :) I'll post it in english and portuguese (if there'll be any portuguese writer they can read the original)

The dead

Look the dead, look at her
Follow her dress at the window
Such gorgeous eyes, what a peace,
Follow the others that go behind.

Look the owl that sings,
Up high with joy
The virgin is dead, sleeps in the coffin,
There's no more desilution.

Pray for me, for her
Look how beautiful she is
And I'm alive and she's dead.

She's pretty and I'm cold,
She's pure and I'm filthy,
Pray for death, because my hour arrives...

A morta

Olha a morta, olha para ela,
Segue-lhe o vestido pela janela,
Que lindos olhos, que paz!
Segue os outros que vão atrás!

Olho o mocho que pia
Lá no alto de alegria.
A virgem morreu, dorme no caixão,
Não há mais desilusão!

Reza por mim, reza por ela,
Olha-a como é bela!
E eu estou viva e ela morta

E ela é bonita e eu sou fria
Ela é pura e eu pecadora
Reza pela morte, que já vem a minha hora!

Como bela! That is if I haven't forgotten all of the odd phrases from other languages that float around in my head. It means "how beautiful", correct? I cannot speak a lot of languages, French is my second, and I'm not great in it, but I can read many of them since I began reading before I was 5 and was college level before I was out of 2nd Grade. Great poem, I would love to hear it in the original. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/AbsalomKane/Smilies/ThumbsUp.gif

Ah, yes, my dear, but that I would have to read and guess at some of the words! I would love to hear it read aloud, to hear the beauty of the language! http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/AbsalomKane/Angelstar.gif
