I'm looking for the title and author of a science fiction book i read as a kid..
all i remember is that it was about a city where there's an epidemic due to rhesus monkeys spreading a virus.
after the epidemic, nearly everyone is dead except for some kids...
one of them is a girl whithout a name, I think... all she's got for a name is an initial like J. or something...

sorry, I don't remember either the title or the author :bawling:

Humm this does sound familiar sleepy, Ill have to think about it. Its obviously not Garth Nix's Shades children, although thats the first thing that comes to mind.

Umm this would be a book from about when?
Anyway Ill have a think.

i don't know the exact time it was published but I read the German translation around 10 years ago.. i'd say it was published in the 90s or 80s

that's unfair :(

grr, i've already searched our public libraries online catalogue (the public library is where i got the book in the first place) there were 950 sci-fi books but none of the titles or authors rang a bell... some sounded familiar and i cheched them on amazon, but....

maybe i'll go to the library and brows through the shelves. if i'm lucky the book isn't taken out at the moment and I can find it. trouble is, they keep re-arranging their shelves.. everytime I go there a whole section has moved to an entirely different part of the building...

well google is actually rather helpful although I was looking for a short story by mark twain but still, I also spent 4 years trying to track down a japanese tv series that Id seen in arabic, and I only knew the arabic title for. ( let me tell you difficult doesnt begin to describe it but I did find it in the end).

So do you rember anything else from the book? Like any particular scene or something?? The colour of the cover?

Its not Orson Card Scott by any chance is it??
