I think Woody Allen has been successful in both film and book; He is publishing two books this summer and I am very excited.

Has anybody read Ethan Hawke's books?

Which hollywood player do you think is also a fine author?

The only Hollywood author I ever remember reading is Aisha Tyler ("Swerve"). It wasn't too bad. Really funny.

I've read Ethan Hawke's - Ash wednesday but it did not impress me much, the characters were rather unexplored. It was not boring but it did not sparkle either.
Did you like the novel?

I did not know Woody Allen wrote novels, that should be interesting to check out.

I read a few pages of 'The Hottest State' by Ethan Hawke a while back. It was about as nourishing as a ryvita dipped in tepid water. I wept myself to sleep that night screaming "CARVER, DESPITE YOUR OBVIOUS TALENT AND ACCOMPLISHED POETRY, YOU'VE CONVINCED A GENERATION OF TWO DIMENSIONAL, STUTTERING AIRHEADS THEY CAN WRITE".

Good Hollywood writers? How's about John Fante!

I never read it.

I wish he published a novel, but he has only published collection: plays, essays, and short stories. I really enjoyed his play "Death".
