Hi! I'm new and looking for a poem I had to recited in the 5th grade (1967ish). It was called "The party at Grogan's". It had an Irish brogue so the spelling may be incorrect.
It started out...twas a fine time we had down at grogans, the five of us slept not a wink ...blah blah blah blah...and plenty of toddy to drink. The ale it was clear as the air is, and we managed to put it away, the five of us all happy hearted. But who was the five did you say? Two grogans is one, mike sploid is two, tim horrigan's three and meself. I thought there was 5 of us!
It goes on for 4 or 5 more stanzas. Has a:yawnb: nyone ever heard of this one or know how I can find it?
