You are the infinity, and I am a mere atom,

You are a mirror, and I am just a reflection.

I am a mere shadow, and You are the Sun,

I am a little lily, and You are the moon.

You are the sky, while I am a fleeting rain,

You are the ocean, and a drop of water I am.

I am a little rose, and You are its fragrance,

You are the eternity, while I am by chance.

You are the soul in my momentary body,

You are the doer, while I am a mere deed.

In my little brain, You are the knowledge,

I am a passing actor in Your world-stage.

In Your superb creation, I am a mere effect,

In this mysterious world, You are the perfect.

:p (to the vulnerable public)

Neither a specially crafted artifact,
Nor a jewel studded splendor,
It is a simple piece of furniture,
Suitable for a person of any gender.

An ordinary plastic chair,
Might yield its power faster,
All it requires to be is,
The selection of its worthy master.

Power flows from it instantly,
As the master sits on it with delight,
Creating apprehension and fear,
By his mere innocent sight.

Meaningless are principles and ethics,
As its occupier is the destiny,
Whatever he does is just and right,
Beyond anybody’s scrutiny.

Behind a colorful curtain,
Of equality, secularism and patriotism,
Flourishes a profitable trade,
Of corruption, crime and nepotism.

All these hidden ammunitions,
Make the throne the most powerful,
Blessed are the numerous sycophants,
Who worship it heart and soul.

Cherishing to occupy one day,
This precious and powerful chair,
The worshippers happily throw away,
All their conscience into the street gutter.

Not limited to any state or country,
The trend spreads like cancer,
Be it a democracy or any other form,
The people are afraid to seek an answer.

Whatever it proclaims is rule,
And all it preaches is fair and pure,
Wearing the mask of a protector,
It persecutes the innocent poor.

Wow. I really love parts of this Dr Dash!

The first stanza totally blew me away, except for the last line, "Suitable for a person of any gender." which I didn't much care for.

I really like the parts where you break out of the rhyme scheme and the rhythm - it really heightens the suspense and the increasing awfulness of the 'chair'.

Don't be afraid to drop the rhyme sometimes, it can be really effective. In fact the only parts I didn't like were when I felt like you were sacrificing content to fit the form. The line I mentioned above is one of these, also, "The people are afraid to seek an answer."

But I really liked it on the whole.

This is only my humble opinion, so feel free to ignore the critique and only remember the fact that I liked it!

Good. Loved the first one best. My only advice is don't force rhyme. If it gets to the point where you are having to go out of your way to rhyme, maybe you should try free verse with that poem. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/AbsalomKane/Smilies/ThumbsUp.gif
