I am new

Hi friends, A very very good-afternoon to all of you. My name is Dr Biswambhar Dash and I am a Physician by profession. I belong to India (the state of Orissa) and at present I am undertaking a mission of providing minimum health care to the down-trodden and underprivilleged. A few months back I supperannuated after serving in the Medical and Health Services Dept of the Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL). My hobby is writing poems, plays, novels and short stories. Most of the writings are in my mother tongue, Oriya and have been published too. Poems and short stories have been written in English too and many have been published in the net in various literary forums like poets.com, poetstree.com etc. I came to know this site few days back while searching the net. I am glad to be a new participant in this innovative site and eagre to learn from and share with my knowledgeable friends. If that is the case Poet-Doctor, do you prescribe William Blake as a treatment for your patients? :-)

I thought Poetry makes you more sicker of the mind and the soul because Poetry reaches out for the Ideals we can never achieve and we then fall flat on our faces on the mud-of-reality - and hence the sadness, sorrow and depression. Poetry as the Americans say - Poetry "sucks"! :-)

What say you Poet-Doctor :-)
