at a somewhat inspirational speech haha

We hope, we dream. We aspire for the stars and we inspire each other to reach them. The possibilities are endless, the boundaries nonexistent.

All we have to do is reach.

Reach out and seize it. Reach out and grasp the world; hold it by the neck and demand its complete submission; climb, crawl, claw to the top, the highest, the apex, and revel and rejoice, for now as you reach up you close your fist around the stars, no longer a dream. But the reality. Transcend the critics, the nay-sayers, and transpire all bounds. Who are they to tell you no, to hold you back from what you will achieve? Who are they to say you can't have it? Who are they to doubt your dreams, only because they’re too scared to realize their own? What are obstacles, but means for you to become stronger and overcome?

It’s your world. And the world awaits. It waits for us, for you, for me, to take it by storm. It waits for us to light it ablaze, to envelope and illuminate the entire world with our shine and our fire. It waits for the next genius, the next virtuoso, the leader of the free world that has yet to emerge. It waits for the reality of impossible dreams, the solution to mankind’s dilemmas, for peace and for an end to all suffering.

It awaits you.

Dare to dream, and it will become the future. “Utopia today, flesh and blood tomorrow.” To want, to desire, is integral to life. Live for the sole purpose of fulfilling that dream; pour out, devote your blood, sweat, and tears, and toil to give life to that which you dared to wish. And never fear, never doubt. With hard work and preservation there is nothing that cannot be attained, cannot be achieved. Stay true to yourself. Realize your dreams, and find yourself.

Just reach.

And is there a specific topic you're supposed to be speaking about, or is it just meant to be a generally motivational speech?

Yeah well, I think it's pretty solid. Maybe a little cheezy, but basically all motivational speeches sound kinda cheezy to me.

I really like your style of speech (it's the subject matter I find cheezy), especially when you say, "climb, crawl, claw to the top, the highest, the apex, and revel and rejoice, for now as you reach up you close your fist around the stars, no longer a dream."

Just to be helpful ( I have worked as an editor), I don't think it's grammatically correct to say something 'awaits for you'. It should either be 'it awaits you' or 'it waits for you'.

I hope I'm right about that.

Well done:thumbs_up

Don't get me wrong though, it's not your style of writing that is cliche. Only the whole motivational thingie!! Keep on writing my friend.

It is a bit cliche- I think that you picked a topic where anything you say will sound pretty much cliche to me. But you are very good at making the words flow consistantly. I am also a high schooler but if I heard that in class...

I'd take it like just another corny speech, but as Aunty said- it's not what YOU did- it's that just seems to me very superficial. I hate motavation speechs...

Keep it up =)
