It's been a fortnight since I've written a poem so here I've churned out something that might seem a bit sloppy but I hope some of you can appreciate it :).

Prelude of a Fisherman's Saga

These feet spread wide my tale of wrinkles,
flat against thine secular floor,
humble knock tolls hollow on ricocheted wood,
My shattered visage comes to implore,
of my empty net swept wholly adrift
on this sand dune shore--
I come to becon thine scarlet alter,
A perch, my sanction, a threshold of thine pious door.

You let me bring my palms together,
the ones that scathe an earth of fire,
leaving a lattitude blemish once so pure,
now a manifest bend, one broke, one missing,
By you, nine is all I need to endure--

Here I will forever be,
thine plaque to augment glory,
my shut eyes imprint the black of sea,
Dear Lord will you hear my story?

(This poem will be removed in a few days time.)

Adol,
You have cut a very good picture of this life and sea hardened man. Reminds me of a Hemingway short story getting ready to unfold. I especially like your description of his hands.
Will you be telling the rest of the story?

Hey, where's the rest? You dropped me off a cliff when it was getting good, 'Dole! http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/AbsalomKane/Smilies/coyote.gif
