Monologue of Faith

I was lost in the forest,
claiming to be free.
Trying to be honest,
but drowning in the sea.

A bright bolt lightened my way,
filled me with love, care and serenity.
What is this grace? I pray you say.
Will it guard me for eternity?
The comforting answer may
change my life into a bounty

I KNOW IT! Who is it but God.
Where on earth have I been?
Forgetting all about you. Oh my heart!
Making a sin over a sin.

Yet, you were always there for me.
Trying to protect, help and nourish me.
And I! Oh God how could I have repented?
After I have resented
the creed that founded my life,
I am speechless. Fie on me oh fie.

There is nothing that I wish for,
but your mercy dear Lord.
I will put a smile on my face,
Because you have promised your slave,
that forgiveness he will be granted.
Nothing in this life is better
than to have God's love planted
in your heart as a love letter.

Very heartfelt Poem, arabian night!

Your Poem makes me think about Psalm 51, by King David:

I have another one I would love to share with you...

Death Gate

Good night everyone...
My last word that reached the core,
before I head to my eternal bed.
Something strange changed my range.
I felt a cold breeze touching my soul at ease.

Help Everyone!
I am dreaming yet I know I am not sleeping.
Shapeless forms started to scorn.
A bizarre call horrified my defendless soul.
God! I am not ready for my doomed destiny.

Wait everyone...
A sparkling light glittered in my sight.
Rose water is sprinkling in the chamber.
Golden gate ended my maze.
All my beloved ones are sending a call.
Waving for me to follow them and leap,
from these worldly bars to the real hearts.

Goodbye everyone!
I realized how minimized our horizon is.
I now only know one fact about this act.
Death is but a passage to the genuine world we all ought to be.

I agree with Uncle Lar, your poems read like Psalms, the works of David, Solomon, and others. Do you perhaps keep some type of musical instrument near as you write? Or sing the poem? I have been guilty on both accounts in my own writings. Good solid poems of Faith! http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/AbsalomKane/Angelstar.gif
