Hi,
I was wondering if any of you could help with a question i'm trying to find the answer to -
Two major literary works were published in 1922, by an American and an Irishman. Who were they and what did they publish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to this forum. :)

James Joyce, perhaps the most distinguished Irishman in Literature published his masterpiece Ulysses in 1922.

Now the question of the American Author is a trifle confusing.
Many notable American authors published works during this year but perhaps the novel you require is by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
The Beautiful and the Damned.

Another likely contender can be Sinclair Lewis with his Babbitt. [A novel I am currently enjoying]

And then offcourse we'll always have T. S. Elliot with his phenomenal Wasteland. Seeing that Ulysses is in this list too, I have a feeling that Wasteland is your required work.

If not, you can always check out this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1922_in_literature) for help. :)
