i'm curious as to if anyone has read this book and if so what are your thoughts and opinions on it

This book was seen through a boys eyes right? If that's the book I'm thinking of I found it a good piece of entertainment, but got no messages or feelings from it that I hadn't gotten from other "growing up" "loss of innocence" books.

hmm...i didnt not get the "loss of innocence" feeling so much as the loss of childhood idealism

Okay loss of idealism is a better word, does somebody get shot or am I thinking of something else?
