Forgive me if I borrow heavily here from a few sources without explicitly documenting them. So here's to Phillip K. Dick, Daniel Boorstein and Martin Luther. After all, there is nothing new under the sun...
My purpose here is to explore psuedo realities, (which have no origination in the five senses and are created by the media) spurious realities, which are manufactured by the Devil (according to Luther) and are extrapolations of a false world over the real one, and also hyper or virtual realities which are extensions of one or both of these two into greater reaches of time-space (quantum physics). My question before diving right in here is this---How is one to know that the words you are digesting in the here and now are the products of a human and not the product of an Artificial Intelligence? For that matter, is it reasonable to assume that the apparent form which materializes before your eyes is the actual, or just a juxstiposition? If I get a response here I will post more on all these topics...:D

Ahem, the accepted terminology is "spacetime" ;)

To me, these questions are just as "valid" as any other question which, upon even the slightest bit of analysis, is realized to be totally unanswerable in the objective sense and which, ultimately, falls to the subjectivity of the observer.

How do you know that there is not an invisible leprechaun walking behind you, wherever you go?

Same concept.

We always assume our reality is continuous. That is, that every minute, every second, every millisecond and every microsecond, is ours to divide up and schedule, and so forth -- is ours to do whatever we want in. But what if instead, we live in a Discrete Reality. I mean to say that our existence happens in only a small segment of the actual time available. I mean, how would we notice?

Consider the table. It's solid. It's 2' x 3', about 1 1/2" thick. Wrap your knuckles on the table, and you know it exists. But scientists tell us that really, when you get right down to it, it's mostly empty space; occupied by a bunch of whirling, tiny, charged particles. The more you study physics the more they tell you that even those particles don't really exist as such. Instead they are, themselves mostly empty space, being buffeted around by still smaller particles.

So why does time have to be any different? Maybe our time is being multiplexed: divided up and parceled out by some cosmic multitasker. We have our little fraction of time every so often to "execute in". But most the time, were swapped out to disk or something, and some other beings are using up reality's time, for their agenda.

The subject of one my essays is about how a certain person, somehow, tripped up the system, and fell Except from the grand multitasker; living in a continuous string, outside of the multiplexed environment where everyone else existed. This person could pass for one discrete reality to another, until something terrible happened to him.
