I haven't been reading much lately, too little time and too many distractions (as life tends to present), and haven't got any ideas on what book I should pick up. So any good books out there (hopefully something that expands the mind) that you have read? Any classics? Any personal favourites? List a top three if you wish to. Thanks! :)

A-ha, that is complicated, since I don't know your tastes AT ALL.

But given that you have lately been too busy to read, I will have to diagnose a severe case of 'not in the reading mood'. It is a terrible ailment that no one is safe against- sometimes even the greater books will leave you unmoved.

So, I must recommend three books that have helped me to get out of there, at different times... even if there might be greater books than these, I believe them among the greatest (I could readily supply suggestions of globally acclaimed books such as Catch22 or 'The Unbearable Lightness...', but they might be a bit too much when in recovery! XD).

Probably you've read them already, but then say so, and I will recommend more. :D

1.- The World According to Garp, by John Irving
2.- To Kill a Mockingbord, by Harper Lee
3.- The Remains of the Day, by Kazuo Ishiguro
4 (bonus).- Anything JD Salinger
