OK, I was at the mall happily walking by the bookstore when I noticed the big sign that read "50% off Everything in the store".
I said to myself "No Can't Be",
Myself replied "It be".
I grab my purse and go in...
As most of you know I have a thing against buying books that advertise the movie version or a book club on the front cover. The only version of the book I wanted, All The Kings Men, was promoting the movie version. What do I do??? 50% off vs. A Good Cover??????
:( Life is tough.

I'm leaning towards that myself, the problem is that I don't like buying books when I can get them at the library. But this one is a keeper.
Hey! I forgot my good thing - In a week I'll be employed again. Yeah Me. This time no more telling bossman to jump in a lake. And I'm moving hence the reason for the book.

If you know the book is one you want to keep vs taking it out of the library, then don't let the cover deter you.
Don't judge a book by it's cover, papaya!!! :p
(somebody was going to say that, might as well be me....:D )
Congrats on the new job, maybe the book could be a celebratory "yay, me!" purchase.

BUY IT! You won't always find a book you love at 50% off, even if it is a movie cover (I don't buy those either).

Buy it and make a nice cover for the book yourself.

I second Madhuri. You can make a new cover all by yourself. :)

I do that all the time, although I do it in the used section on amazon. Some of those used books are so cheap, I can't help myself and before I know it, I've got 8 or 9 books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read.

That's too bad, I hope your library has it.
And congratulations on the new job! I suppose this means you won't be posting on the song title thread as much, you'll be missed. ;) :D
