starving writer

Hello! Introductions are not my strong point (neither are conclusions for that matter), but I'll try to be at least slightly coherent. I'm a high school student in her sophomore year. I read alot more then my peers, so it's a bit hard to get good literary discussion. I'm mainly a fantasy buff, but I absolutely love authors like Margaret Atwood, Nietzsche, Steinback, Hemmingway, Orwell, Huxley, and many, many others. My dad is just like me, and had me reading Steinback at ten, and tried to get me to read Faulkner at twelve. I got through Steinback, but I still can't read Faulkner (I get to caught up in the rhythm of the words). I'm considering being an art historian, but I'd really like to be a costume designer for broadway. I attempt to write, but I never manage anything mind blowing (of course, I'm what, 16?). Anyway, I've had enough of talking about myself (I absolutely hate the phrase, "sell yourself", it always seems as though I'm being arrogant when I try).
