I wrote this a few year ago and it's not of my usual style. It was for an English assignment at college - we had to write a noun phrase poem. My stuff is usually quite 'dark', and so my personal assignment was to write something... hopeful. I'm reluctant to post this, but my mind keeps returning to it whenever I debate about God/Miracles - I don't believe in God. I'm not usually quite this soppy:

The Miracle.

The blaring radio.
The sleepy road.
The warm knee.
The cold beer.
The wandering mind.
The persistent hand.
The high spirits.
The low kerb.
The lost beer.
The found trunk.
The hard wheel.
The soft face.
The warm blood.
The cold knee.

The blaring siren.
The stirring street.
The warm blanket.
The cold metal.
The desperate spark.
The hopeful voltage.
The rising tears.
The waning heart.
The stopped blood.
The tender comfort.
The praying drunk.

The rustling coats.
The crashing metal.
The light room.
The heavy hearts.
The rough call.
The smooth ticking.

The kneeling mother.
The silent son.
The lamenting lips.
The magnified eyes.
The warm breath.
The misted glass.

Please, feel free to pan me. I feel like beating myself up reading it.
