Suppose, just suppose, that you will have a next life, what do you want to be? and why?
I want to be a tree.Because I think the lifestyle of a tree is very grace, and when the tree is planted,it will never move again.

Tree - yeah I like trees. But staying put in one place would be a killer!

I want the freedom of the wind :-)

So in my next life I want to come back as a radient ball of pure thought energy :-)

happy, safe, better... I have seen tree fossils that were from high altitudes, surrounded by lower altitude forests. They were moved by mudslides.

I read an interesting book about what is done to the bodies of people after they die...(maybe its calld Stiff)... there is a procedure which reduces you to tree food. I wouldn't mind being reduced to fertilizer for plants, seems so much cleaner.

I think would die to wait for that mudslide to move me :-)

Whatever the after life holds I hope it is not restrictive...ah to feel the photons as you zoom through the Universe :-)

Why do many people want to get the things which they don't get this life in their next life?

Why do many people want to get the things which they don't get this life in their next life?

Because Reality is restrictive.

It does not bend to the limitelessness of the imagination :-)

Air: Here, there, everywhere! Listening to people's talks, hearing several interesting stories, moving anywhere I will like and observing anything I will want to!

If not air, then can I be what I am now? :)

In my next life I would like to be a new and improved version of me (having learned all the lessons I was supposed to learn in this lifetime).

you know, It's sth odd, cuz no one would think about it.. really!
I wish I were a cat, I dunno why, but I think I love adventures, and a cat is: cute, pretty, beautiful, flixible, and sweet to watch, a great lover, and verycareful, like my own kitty that I love very much...
but I'm sure if this was real I would think wider.

thanks, your Question is Ironic, but your answer is very exeptable, maybe just for me!

I would like to be me....the same me
and I want to live the same life,
but this time without mistakes,
I will learn from this life, in order not to do the same mistakes.

Free - Yes, that's what I want to be  To be able to make my own rules and live by them.

Wait...maybe I want to be a migratory bird, so that I can visit faraway lands and fly over oceans. Well, atleast it will fulfill my dream to visit as many places as I want, I won't be a frog in the well.

If we could really come back in another life, would we get to choose it? I am not familiar with reincarnation, other than you die, and return to continue with your life lessons. Other than that, I don't know the details. I was raised Catholic, and I was baptized so that if I died as a baby, I would go to heaven. I had my first confession and learned the difference between a venial and a mortal sin, and I know that if I die before I go to confession and tell the priest my sins, I will go to hell.I know that birth control methods are sinful and so is premarital sex and abortion is really bad. You have to go to Church every Sunday and on all holy days of obligation. If you want to be a priest you can't have a wife and you can't have any kind of sex at all. Same for nuns. So, I am not familiar with reincarnation. Just curious.

No. You don't get to choose your next life. The Impersonal Laws of Karma does that for you. Your present actions determines your future rebirth.

Ah good choice. It will be an experience to remember :-) You can at least pee standing up :-) but I believe some women can already do that!! Just joking :-)

Being a man is not all that exciting an existence - having to shave everday -is such a drag!!! and constantly driven by your hormones - ah it is tiring... :-(

He he, i know what you mean.
We also have things that are not so exciting ...... but to experience both sexes, that would really be something worth doing if possible.

Yes. I think so too.

I want to come back as Angelina Jolie or Beyonce - but thought of shacking up with Brad Pitt - is kind of disgusting :-(

perhaps a lesbian version of Angelina Jolie or Beyonce....but that might defeat the purpose of being born as a women...oh well the possibilities seems to be endless in the afterlife :-)... perhaps we should all strive to go beyond gender :-)...but then again I love women too much...it will be hard to give up... :-(

Angelina Jolie is a good choice:).
The idea would be to feel attracted to men if that happens otherwise there is no point in switching.
I wouldn't mind coming back as Brad Pitt ....... see how i react just like a woman?
Bah, it's so complicated:)).

She is indeed The Women!

Yes. You are right. I guess with a women's body chemistry in the next life - this can happen :-)

I wouldn't mind coming back as Brad Pitt

What this thing about Brad that women find so Irresistible? :-)

Though he did a brillian job as Achilles in the film Troy :-)

Why not Vigo Mortensen -he is a poet :-)

But I guess I have to see it with women's eyes to see what Brad means to women :-)

I was also born and raised a catholic. I remember once i religion class in secondary school the teacher asking a question about reincarnation. i said i believed in it and she told me that i wasnt allowed to as it was agains my religion.
Personally i believe that we all once were and will be again.....

Well, just think about the way you see Angelina, as The Woman, and you'll understand how women see Brad.....
If we are refering just to good looks, he is The Man, but in my opinion for a man to be interesting and irresistible it takes more than good looks.

Ok, Vigo Mortensen will do too ............

Re-incarnation is a concept in Hinduism. It is believed that a soul until it is set free, that is, has attained Moksha or Nirvana (a state that breaks the vicious cycle of birth and re-birth and sets the soul free), will be coming back on this earth in different forms (humans, animals, insects or anyother form). To be born as a human being is the best form of re-incarnation.

Is anyone else like me more curious as to what or who they were in the past, than what they will be in the future? I personally would love to have a past life regression done and find out what type of life i lived in the past. It would be very interesting!

It would be interesting indeed if you believed.
Do you beleive in past lives Niamh?

Niamh
04-27-2007, 08:26 AM
yes i do... I believe that in order to believe that you are to be reincarnated you must believe that you existed before. As a catholic i should not really believe this but i am more inclined to spirituality, the existing of spirits ghosts etc than what i was brought up to believe.

Moira
04-27-2007, 09:20 AM
What we are brought up to believe is not always what seems plausible to us ....
I don't know much about past life regression but it would be quite an experience.

if it was ever to be...simply put the wind....when i'm sailing on the ocean it's awesome....sitting on the shore with a slight breeze touching my face, unbelieveabley peaceful...in a storm, fiercing pushing through just short of a tornado, scary...it's everything and more....
