I have been assigned by my english teacher to do a paper on how 1984 and Brave New World present a warning to the people of today's society, and how each of their corresponding societies relate and parallel with our society today. I've got a few ideas for starters (for 1984 constant supervision and government surveillance, use of threats to control, violence as entertainment, etc. and for BNW the use of drugs to control our feelings, trends towards promiscuity, trend towards lest interest in religion, promotion of an ideal image, etc.) but if anyone else has any lending ideas or information I'm all ears... If not..thats alright too. Thank you to all.

Hi, Baloo!
I strongly advise to read Neil Postman, Amusing Ourselves To Death, especially the last chapter, The Huxleyan Warning. Here Postman compares the warning in 1984 and BNW. Tell me if I need to elaborate.
