I would go back to Hawaii. I love that place. And I don't mean the super touristy areas, like Waikiki, but the quieter places, Lanai, or Maui. It's so calm there, and relaxing, and beautiful. Oh, I'd better stop talking about this. I'm getting depressed now.

Simply could not choose, I am very interested in travelling and hope to visit all over the world before I die. At the moment though I am interested in going to Asia since I just came back from my first European excursion, maybe somewhere near the ocean, somewhere small that I can relax and enjoy the culture. However I would also like to visit Mexico as well fairly soon, drive down there perhaps.... Ahhh we'll jsut have to wait and see :D .

Where would I go: Heaven.
Why would I go: I hate it here, and I cannot imagine the bliss I will feel when at last I will become one with God himself.

REVIVED!

Wow, I was about to answer Prince Edward Isles or something like that (maybe Spain) but then I read Countess' answer and I'd have to agree. Heaven is the place for me.

I would go to Africa. Other than Australia (which I will be visiting next year) and Antarctica, Africa is the only continent I haven't visited. I would love to go on a Safari to Serengeti National Park.

England. As for my reason why, well, there are just too many to list here. But I think it would be nice to get away for awhile. This is the one place that I have always had myself set on going to. :)

If you ever get the chance to go, make sure you don't get so caught up in the London area that you forget to see the rest of the country. The UK has so much more to offer. I highly reccomend Edinburgh, Swansea, and Yorkshire (esp. Harrogate, where I was lucky enough to live for a couple of years)

Well theres another place in the country I haven't been to yet and I'd go there (right now) because someone I really really miss lives there.
I think I'd like to go to almost every country, just for the sake of going there and experiencing different ways of life etc... I'd like to go to America just to see the similarities and differences to Australia.

Thanks for the recommendations! :) I originally had it in mind to live in London (well, at least the outskirts - I figure that might be cheaper :) ) for awhile, but I always wanted to actually travel the countryside and see as many places and towns that I could. So, thanks for giving me some more places to add to my list IF I should ever finally make it over there! :)

LOL, the outskirts might be cheaper, but I wouldn't count on anything being cheap. When I left, in January, the exchange rate was more than $2 to the Pound :) You're definitely on the right track with the countryside thing though, esp. during the summer months. The stereotypical dreary, grey weather clears up and it is actually quite beautiful.

I really would like to travel through Russia for some months, starting somewhere at the Black Sea and then going eastwards. I've been to Russia before, but only to the European part of it.

What djy78usa said is quite true: try and see more of the UK if you get the chance to go. Scotland is beautiful!
As for London...I might end up living there for a year or two and I'm dreading it....

Where would I like to go...I've always wanted to see New Zealand, so if I get the chance to make a long trip away, that would be my first choice. Then Japan.
Although, at the moment, I wouldn't mind going somewhere very very sunny, next to the beach.

I wonder why you chose Swansea ('..this lovely, ugly town..' as Dylan Thomas called it) over Cardiff, which is a very 'happening' place at the moment? I live across the estuary from Swansea and while I like the city, I go there infrequently as driving and parking there is a nightmare!

I'm going to South Africa later in the year - touring and trying to see as much of this diverse country as possible in the month I shall be there. Also On my 'places to see' list are Russia and Egypt.

After watching a Sigur Rós DVD I also decided I'd like to visit Iceland after I've been to University.

My place of choice is indeed exotic and untraveled, a zone wherein I find no rays of civilization have reached.

Indeed I want to visit place wherein all these, mundane or commonplace realities have little siginifiance.

I choose to go there where I have to unlearn or forget the realities I am stormed with.

Wherein I will behave like primitive men not smeared by modernistic things.

Heh there are so many.

Most of all India probably. Look a bit over my paternal-roots. Meet some relatives I have never seen but want to have a look at. Also travel around Simla, Kashmir, and all the beautiful places.

Next comes Iran, again for roots....and also because Irani halwa was amazing. My paternal-grandfather brought this sweet and very delicious thingy when he came back. Don't remember eating anything more delicious. Hmmmmm.

The other countries include China, Japan, Turkey, England, Finland and Baltic countries.

That sounded lovely Anti :) I agree, nothing can beat time with family.

I would go to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

I'm not Arabian, but I am a Muslim, and those places are the centre of Islamic culture, from Abraham right down to Muhammad [peace be with them]

Every year millions of Muslims make the pilgrimage to Mecca, and I hope to do so soon, if Allah Wills.

Very politically correct, but we'd like to have an idea of the places you like. LOL

Hahaha, well with all the Europeans on this forum, I've actually lost interest in Europe. :p They've become too familiar. ;) Certainly Africa has a tremendous mystery for me, but lately I've been interested in the far east. I would love to explore China. It's so large and apparently various. I'm not sure I will ever get to do any of this, but it's nice to let the imagination roam.

It was also the first "big" vacation my boyfriend and I took as a couple, so it was great to create these awesome memories with him.

YES!!! This is actually the sort of place I have in mind! But I want to be a little closer to the big city. I could easily live in a place like this, but I need to be close enough to London (even an hour away isn't too bad), or a place like Liverpool or Birmingham or even Manchester. I would like to live in a town like this, but I kind of need my "city life", too. :) I, at least, need easy access (meaning, not a day's drive away) to the city. :) What is the closest city to Lincoln? Isn't it Nottingham? If I would end up in a town like this (if not exactly this one :) ), I would then have to decide whether I would want to live in a town near a big city (which I always lean towards) or a small city. Oh, decisions, decisions! :D

Africa. I could spend a couple of years exploring the continent, what a trip that would be. I would start with a month or so in Egypt and then cycle from there down the Rift Valley to Kenya and go on a hiking safari, the thought of being attacked by lions would make you feel more alive than anything in the world.

After that it's off to South Africa and maybe some cage diving with great white sharks - ouch. From there I would make my up the West coast and spend a lot of time in the rain forests of Gabon.

Finally Morocco and a cycle tour of Tenerife in the Canary Islands before returning to the US.

Technically, Lady W, any place in UK that has a cathedral is a city - even St Davids in west Wales which is smaller than the village I live in is a city because of the cathedral!

If you mean near a city in the sense of metropolis, you might like York - mediaeval city, black and white houses, loads of atmosphere but only a short train ride from Leeds, which is not the mucky place it used to be, much cleaned up and modernised, as are Manchester, Liverpool and Brumigen. Lincoln is not too far from Nottingham or Sheffield, but I'm not sure these two have had the sort of urban regeneration those others have.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I suppose I am much more interested in a metropolis. I have to begin to do some serious thinking about what I want to do and where to go again (my plans had to be put on hold more than once and then I just lost track of eveything that I had in mind). I guess I should know all the facts before I speak, huh? ;) Well, now that I have the cathedral fact to help me, and I have the means to look up an estimate of the city's population, I think I will be able to determine what is what now! :D
