I have noticed, as many of you may have noticed also, that classic characters like Dracula have appeared in videogames. Here is a good example of what I mean: Castlevania! The boss of this series is Dracula. I know that I can't come up with every character in videogames, but there is a lot of them. If you wish to expound on this please do.

Castlevania is my favorite game of all time (but keep in mind that I grew up on Nintendo). It was two dimensional and I could handle that.
I have a play station 2 now (I am not going to bother spending money on a newer system) but I can't master the controls (plus I don't really have time for it). I tried a new version of Castelvania and got frustrated.
But I did beat the original nintendo Castlevania. I have a screen shot of that somewhere on my system. If I find it I will post it later.
As far as Lit Net characters in Video games, I guess...Frankenstein was also in Castlevania (I think level 5) and Medusa was level 2 (of the original of course)

The God of War games seem to enjoy exploring (and tweaking) Greek Mythology in a most interesting way.

Alice from Alice in wonderland had her own video game.

Alice from Alice in wonderland had her own video game.
I was coming in to mention that game. Somebody gave me a very dark "Alice" game in which she had been in an asylum and then gets out and goes behind the looking glass again.
I got very irritated with it, but maybe I will try it again.

I don't think that Kingdom Hearts would do, but I think this (http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/tauspace/vid_game.htm) might do

Yes, that is the game I was talking about. It irritated the heck out of me, for some reason. although some of it looked cool. I suppose I could re-install it and try again.

I am glad that I was of assistance.

Well, thank you. :)
Sorry if I was remiss, it is just that I already own a copy of the game. I simply found Alice too irritating.

It sounds good, I'm up for a video game :)

In Oscar Wilde's poetry I was surprised to read so many words that were familiar to me from the Final Fantasy series, mostly beasts ect. taken from all kinds of religions and old literature.

In the computer game Morrowind there is an entire adventure that is a wonderful hommage to the classic horror writer Lovecraft, and his story of the village Innsmouth.
(I liked the Alice game - but it is so creepy! But I think Alice in wonderland is scary to begin with)

Nancy Drew is a minor literary figure...maybe not as well known as Alice. There are a series of adventure games featuring the teenage detective. I bought one last week.

I never really gave it a proper chance, I am so seriously impatient. I do like dark and creepy, so I think I might re-install it and give it another try. :)

Really? Where does one play this adventure? I don't think I've run across it, or I've since forgotten. :)

It's for PC and XBOX, made by Bethesda. It's the third game in the Elder Scrolls series - finding it shouldn't be difficult at all.
FYI, in the game, they also make a reference to Pilgrim's Progress.

No I've played the game to the death... Oh... never mind, I thought she meant a particular adventure in the game, considering it's so big, I didn't realize she might mean the story line. Dagoth Ur and all. Since I got Oblivion Morrowind kind of took a back seat. :)

Sorry! I remembered wrong - it is in Oblivion! My mistake. I meant The Shadow over Hackdirt (Similar to Shadow over Innsmouth by Lovecraft)- it is a particular adventure in the game. It starts somewhere north, northwest, I think, but there are probably better references in walkthroughs. It starts with you trying to find a young girl who is lost, and that leads you to Hackdirt. It is not on the map

See, now it does make sense :D I had a lot of fun in hackdirt
Now that I think about it, there is a game called Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is somewhat of a prequel to Shadow over Innsmouth :)
