character conflict

please help i have an essay on dr jekyll and mr hyde to hand in and the question is on a conflict between two charcters that is central to the story! (its question 6 2003 from the higher past papers)but i cnt get two charcters! i dont know whether to do dr jekyll and mr hyde or utterson and dr jekyll!! please help!!

The central characters would probably be Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and that might be easier. Think about how the two sides of his personality clash so much, and in the end this leads to his downfall.
